Here's a great article from the August '89 issue of Popular Science that focuses on detailed technical information and performance testing on the VNT turbocharger in the 1989 CSX, and includes a side article on the Fiberide composite wheels (articles start on page 28):

The June 1989 issue of Motor Trend Magazine has an article titled "Flat-Out Fastest American Cars II, the Sequel". It includes the 1989 Shelby CSX, ranked with other fast domestic cars of that era. It rates quite favorably. The article is posted as a series of eight PDF scans of the article pages at this link:

Yes Alan I can't wait!! The ones on it are pretty nice as it is but NOS ones will be great! Hey T let me know in advance I'll bring a plasma cutter and well do some modifications hahhaha
Can we make it a limo to fit all of us in it?
Gonna cut it in half before I pull the motor and tran so that we can drive the front half of the car around the yard just before I hold the throttle to the floor and blow a rod thru the block! Its just a worthless car anyway....
That guy nAmed Red who made that AWD Kcar on his show will be so proud!
You are joking about parting it out right? Sarcasm is hard to pick up on in a forum. I sure hope you are joking. I sent you a PM asking about some parts but now I am pretty confident this talk about parting it out and chopping it up is just one big sick and twisted joke. Like joking about drowning a puppy. . .
Thanks T! And tell Mark thanks for getting them boxed up. I'll be back out your way soon to help you finish rippin the rest apart! Isn't it nice to take apart a low mileage car when the bolts come right out??? That junkyard Reliant you just picked up is gonna look badass with those Shelby seats in it!
Oh the humanity!
. Hahahaha
Dude that'd be awesome! There was a tractor for sale in Ohio that we found done up in a silver and blue SC paint scheme! Lol it'd have been perfect for that. Imagine how nice mowing the yard would be with a three spoke leather wrapped steering wheel! LOL
T! I thought you were selling me those seats to use in my Shelby Charger??!! I understand though, they'll be bad --- on a tractor! Can I have the other one to mount up on my new John Deere??? Maybe I'll take the recaro's out of #299 and make them into porch chairs!! HAHA
I’m gonna cut the bottom out of one and mount it to my toilet so that I can schitt thru it!
