[QUOTE=racer-xerols;371672]89 CSX-VNT 135 lives with me here in Maryland. Just a hair over 50k original miles, garage stored, and I probably (unfortunately) haven't even pulled the cover off it in 2 years. Been working and playing with motorcycles the last five years or so, and the TD's have unfortunately fallen dormant (although protected and indoors .
Joe,
You're still around? Good to hear from ya!
Tim
Thoughts on the Bra??? I kinda like the contrast....
Jerk,
I like the bra actually. Never seen one on a vnt car.
Looks good Troy. I almost picked one of those up at the junkyard recently. After seeing that on your car, I'll definitely be sporting one of those when it comes time for a roadtrip.
Not only does it look decent, but knowing what that part of my shadow looks like I would certainly think it to be a good idea.
Anyone know what the gold color on the original '89 VNT wheels is called? I cant seem to find any article saying what the color is called.
thanks guys
I think it looks good. More important it looks functional! Just be sure and keep it very clean on the underside or they turn into sand paper against the paint.
Back from the dead with a few pic's that I took in preperation of getting my Pa. classic tags....
Wow man, that is a purrrrty csx!
Like the foglights. Do Shadow ES brackets line them up in the holes correctly?
Yes, the brackets work great and bolt up using the factory locations, but you'll need to find a more narrow light like the lights that I used. The opening on the CSX is much less than the ES due to the lower chin spoiler.
They still look stock though as far as I'm concerned.
Are they just standard ones one might find at the auto stores around, or did you get them somewhere special?
I used a set of PIAA's that I had laying around. I've had them for a while and the may, or may not be available any longer(?)
I can get they're LxW if you're interested....

Tim - yep, still kickin'. "Found" a new hobby when I started working for Buell motorcycles, so the TD's have been stored nice and safe for a few years...but still around
For the gold wheels, I used an off-the-rack DupliColor rattle can to do some crabs years ago. Damned close match - I need to find it again, so I can touch up those wheels and put tires on them. Although...I can't decide if I want to run the Fiberides or not. It's getting Historic tags at new years', and will be a nice day / parade type driver. Any thoughts from the group?
Also...how do I get to post pics on here??!? <sigh>
I would put the fiberides on there if it is just going to be a pleasure vehicle. You can post pics if you pay the membership fee, or you can host them elsewhere and link to them.
