Maybe. I didn't buy it new, bought it in Glendive, MT it 1994. Had it ever since.
Can anyone tell me or better yet get me a picture of what the stock radio looks like? Was it the basic AM/FM or did it have a cassette? I need to put a radio in my csx and would like to find a stock replacement.
Thanks,
Mine only had the radio in it. I remember clearly taking a road trip in it after I first bought it and having no way to play anything other than the radio! I still have the one that came with it up in my attic I think. I'll take a look this weekend and post a pic.
Rear skirt for the 1989 CSX..

So I brought the rims in to get the tires replaced and told them multiple times that the rims are a fiberglass composite and they assured me that they change thousands of tires and it wont be a problem. Well I get a call this afternoon that they cracked one of the rims taking the tires off. So it sounds like they are going to go good for the rim so I need to find a replacement. Anyone have one or know of one for sale? Let me know and I can pass it on to the tire company so I can get the car ready before SDAC.
Yikes. That's a prime reason why I'm not too keen on tracking down a set of fiberides for mine. Good luck finding a replacement and getting the tire place to go for it. Although the cost of a fiberide wheel is probably in line with what a wheel would cost from the dealer on a modern vehicle so they're probably going to breathe a sigh of relief when they actually get the bill.
Here are the pics for the stereo that was in mine when I bought it. Very basic, no cassette even.

Yeah, I have a couple leads, Mine were probably a 9 out of 10 physical condition, maybe a 6-7 cosmetically. I can fix cosmetic, none of mine had any major curb rash which is going to be hard to find. Right now I'd take holds air. I'll be talking with them Monday and go from there. One of the local guys has a spare but it's not on the top of his list of things to part with. I'm not sure if $500 is out of the range for a rim but it may take that to get him to part with it. We'll see how it goes. I was hoping to get the car down off the jack stands today and get it down the road to test the trans. I put in a spare trans and wasn't able to drive the car much it came out of before I parted it.
i'd sell you one of mine but would need buyers for the others to split up the set...

Can someone tell me if the Daytona T2 rad is the same as the 89 CSX? Thanks.
looking to paint my car in the near future.......anyone know of anybody repoping the decals? Id also like to know what everyone has done (when restoring a car) with redoing the weatherstripping and the other black rubber spread around the car. Mine has been out in the sun a few to many years.
1 less.
That's a real shame. Glad that you've taken pretty much anything possible off of it to keep others alive though.
running good now with boostbutton cal , up next poly engine mounts
I'm not rereading 40+ pages so forgive me if this has been covered already. What class is the 89 CSX in for autocross? What if I have Rich's coilovers and camber plates?
