Re: k-car suspension upgrades
If you take the latter model suspension and put it in one of the earlier cars that is a big help from what I have heard. I am doing that with my 600. I have the suspension and brakes out of a 94 shadow in it, but I have not got the motor and trans back in, so I don't really know what kind of a difference it has made yet.
Poly bushings and a bigger sway bar would be a good option also, if not less involved.

Re: k-car suspension upgrades
On my 87 New yorker I'm installing 89-90 shelby tona front suspension but leaving the stock NY struts and springs. The a-arms will get a set of my stainless steel bushings for no toe or camber changes and my sway bar modification. In the rear I'm using a 86 Daytona C/S rear axle with the big solid sway bar. The 90+ rear axle has longer trailing arms but I haven't found out if they moved the mounting for it yet so I'm not sure if the wheel will sit farther back with that rear axle in an early car or not so that's why I'm going with a 84-89 rear axle. Springs and shocks will be stock NY back there too. This allow the ride to be soft and smooth (I have koni's and Eibachs in my ShelbyZ) but still turn hard. It's also getting an 11" brake setup so it'll stop nice and flat.

Re: k-car suspension upgrades
i have an early carbed 2.6 reliant wagon.
ok, here is what I have available to me for parts..
89 daytona ES
shelby chargers
88 shelby daytona
94 sundance america
which would be the best setup? would this be a direct bolt in?

Re: k-car suspension upgrades
use the 89 daytona's front kmember/control arm setup. Use the front sway bar from the 88 tona and it's rear axle. Shock/struts/springs can be out of the 88 tona as well. If the 89 has 11" brakes (noted by vented rear discs) use that setup as well.

Re: k-car suspension upgrades
Well I doubt the ES is the high ratio (2.25 or 2.5 turns lock to lock) rack. So drill the holes out in the 88 rack for the bigger mounting bolts.
