    Nippondenso Alt

    How much different ,if any, is the bracketry for the nippodenso alternators to the older bigger style. BTW its goin into a '85 GLH with a CB but i have all the older style mounts and accys..

    They are very different than the ChryCo corporate alternator.

    They are slightly different than the Bosch alternator.

    If you have the Corporate Alt then you will need a new bracket. If you have the Bosch one you can just cut/grind one of the mounting points on the ND to fit.


    If you use the newer style waterpump then the old BOSCH bracket also won't work anymore... (been there tried that)

    If you already have a common block, just get the common block alternator brackets from the junkyard. It's soooooo much easier to use stock bolt-on parts.
