    Cecil County Fun Day?

I realize this might be a little early but I was trying to plan my calendar for the next couple of months and realized there has been no talk of the typical annual Cecil County fun day. So let's start throwing some dates out there!

I would show up and probably could get the family to bring their cars too.

Hoping to talk about that at the DV-SDAC meet on Sun.
Cliff used to rent the track with cash out of his pocket
but the track rental has been getting expensive and less people were showing
I'm trying to work with the track (maybe Flee and Cliff could help out) and try and and at least get our own lane

I'll keep everryone posted as I find things out

As fall approaches, things are looking kinda tight. All Saturdays in October have events scheduled ecept the 27th. The next available Sat after that is Nov 10th. Then there is the 24th, but that date, and all dates after that are "Weather Permitting"

Has Cliff still been organizing these? If so, I'm sure his help would be appreciated by everyone who attends.

Regardless, I looked over the Cecil schedule this morning and 11/10 really looks to be the only date in November.

I think Cliff used to organize it when the track was reserved for just us TM idiots but the track rental got too expensive and it turned into crashing a test n tune day around the same time of year.

Since it is Dakota-Durango day maybe I'll tow something up with my 125hp 90 Dakota Sport and see if it can break 20seconds in the 1/4 haha.

Great! I'm pretty ramped up about it this year. The Shadow will be back for some passes. Unfortunately, with only a stock clutch in it, but we'll see how far I can push it before it slips.

I know, I know. Boost is low, so it should hold some. I just don't know how much boost I'll be able to feed it.

I'm taking it out this Saturday to see how far I can take it. When it slips (and I know it will!), if it's too slow, I'll swap it before the November Cecil event. If I don't, I have no chance of keeping up with you!

Keeping the boost low is gonna suck and you know it.
Just swap the thing out. If you weren't so freakin far away I would lend you a hand to do it.

    BTW........... still have the SRT4??

SRT is gone...sold it to a guy in NJ. I was sort of sad to see it go, but I just like the old cars so much more.

I'll probably end up swapping the clutch out, but I want to make some passes before I take it apart again. I had a front end issue that took me forever to find. Now that I fixed it, I want to run down the track a few times to make sure it's not all over the place the way it was last time.

Why don't you come down this weekend to Cecil?

He wants the clutch to slip. That way he can tell his wife "The clutch slips, I HAVE to fix it, I have to be in the garage for a few hours while you're in the house with three screaming kids". That sounds better than "The clutch slips at 22psi at the track but otherwise does ok" :-)
