Ok, so new plan of attack. I really really have the itch to drag racing, really bad itch, so based on lack of funds, lack of time I have a plan.

I bought a new forged 2.2 shortblock so I'll shove that in with a medium to full out ported head, got my stage II tri-flow cams back, long tube header and get a decent higher stall converter and do the 5 speed swap over winter. This should cost me next to nothing and let me get it running in a few months and enjoy the summer and some drag racing.

So, you never really said what happened to your last motor or posted any pics....

I pinged a cylinder. After I lost an injector it did some major damage, I threw it back together, it worked but wasn't right. On my last race, I was done and didn't care and ran it as is, lost a cylinder and she's been sitting ever since. I start her up every 6 months but haven't torn into her. The Hugh's converter had shitt the bed and with the dropped cylinder, I'd had enough.

I saw you leaving as I just sat down and saw you leaving. I saw Jeff once and was just going to find him when I saw Shaun run his Omni, didn't recognize it as last time, it looked at lot worse, lol. Tracked him down, couldn't find Jeff, bumped into Richard, we chatted for awhile, now I have to fix Benz mistake with the governor crap, lol.

If I get the shorblock in the next few weeks, I'll have the van running for end of June, early July at the lastest.

What i mean is use your hp recipe, and then lighten the van a bit. The weight savings will be worth it at the track.

So another update, lol. The shortblock never materialized so on the hunt for pistons. She'll say auto this year, just refresh the engine, new cams and ported head, header and put a high stall non LU converter I bought and go have some fun.

Well snap, just digging thru my piles for parts to sell and found some .020 SRT4 Wiseco pistons. Totally forgot I had those. I bought some Eagle rods from the SRT forums so I have rods too, as they are .866 pins.
