Any Daytona, Laser or Lebaron from 84-88 should work with the exception of the cruise control plug changing in 87, and the few air bag cars that were made in 88. You can use an 88 or 89 air bag column, there just isnt anything to plug the air bag into. The rest of the wiring is all the same though. If color is an issue 87 seems to have a one year only shade of rusty red, but the gray and blue are the same as the 88-89 cars. Im not sure if they had the tan color in 87, as Ive never seen one before, but I know the tan is the same from 88-89.

Cool. Thanks for the help
what's wrong with the column? there are screws inside the old saginaw columns that loosen and cause the column to kinda flap around at the tilt joint.
Yes, I've found whole column replacement less painful than digging down to the tilt-bowl to tighten a few bolts, only to have them re-loosen because I forgot the thread-loc/loktite .............
been there done that!! my 84 laser would do that seemed like every fews months i would have to dig into it and tighten them up. but a whole colum swap that seems harder to me!!!
Swapping columns is easy. Are just the plastic pieces that the studs go through broke, or the whole metal bracket?

The whole metal bracket is broken from what he told me.
