    FAST Engine management help!

    NOT FOR SALE ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's time for me to change over to something my tuner is more familiar with , so I need to sell my FAST EFI engine management. it comes with the entire batch fire kit offered by Forward Motion. It's their "E2" kit. On their site it reads:

    E2 Batch Fire System

This unit fires 2 injectors at one time.
The E2 Batch Fire System Contains:

    Wide Band O2 Sensor
Main wiring harness with all connectors labeled
    Injector wiring harness
    4 injectors 55lb/hr or 72lb/hr
    Charge temp sensor
    Coolant sensor
    3 bar map sensor
    FM distributor with wire set
    Mopar Performance volt regulator
    FAST ECU
5 foot communication cable (ECU to laptop)
    $2750.00 complete

I opted for the 72pph injectors and the kit is complete other than the cd that came with it with the Ccom software, but you can download it on their site www.fuelairspark.com. I paid $2750 for it and had to wait for what seemed to be FOREVER for them to build the kit. (it was really like 3 months) Here I am offering the kit for less money and you don't have to wait.

I'm asking 1,800.00 for this kit.. I will ship it anywhere in the continental US for this price I will ship it to canada for an extra 20 bucks.

I am willing to take a trade, the ONLY thing I am interested in is a manifold for my gt4094r turbo to fit in my omni. If you can build one to my specs I will take 1000 off the asking price for the system.

    Re: FAST Engine management

Just curious, why do you need a 'tuner' with a FAST WBO2 system? It is so easy to learn and use...

Anyways, free bump for a great stand alone at a good price.

Well, the problem I ran into is, the guy I wanted to tune it always acted like he was too damn busy to do it. I figure if I get SDS with DIS I could just tune it myself.

Sounds like he doesn't want to tune your car...

You can tune FAST yourself too. Once you get into it, it is soo user friendly and simple to learn.

Well, another reason is it doesn't support DIS and I want to run distributorless ignition in the omni.

    Re: FAST Engine management

Yeah, I bet it's the newer box. not the older grey box.. If it is the older grey box.. please PM me with detailed info how you did it. I called FAST and they said my box was obsolete and that I would have to buy a whole new box and the XIM box to go with it.

    Re: FAST Engine management

Sure, XIM fo rthe XFI but for the old SFI-8LO you need:

    -FAST EDIST box
    -Magnetic crank trigger
    -Magnetic cam trigger

Not needed but optional (and recommended)

    -MSD DIS-2 Plus or equivalent

Nothing better than a stand alone system you can use to run completely different engines.

    Re: FAST Engine management

You need a crank trigger regardless if it has a distributor or not. The FM kit uses the mag pickup in the distributor for the crank reference.

For distributorless you need a cam signal to syncronize #1 TDC with the crank. This is because the cam rotates 360° for every 720° of crank angle and without the cam reference the ECU would not know which stroke #1 is on and therefore would not know when to fire #1 coil.

It is magnetic hall effect but it has too many signals, the FAST Edist only wants one signal per cam revolution. I am using an MSD generic cam sensor.

In the 8v I used the Forward Motion distributor. on the 16v distributorless I am using a MSD 7" SBC crank trigger wheel mounted to a ebay (unorthodox racing knock off) underdrive pulley. Probably a lot easier than trying to make the stock crank trigger work.
