Daytona Seats in a CSX-T?

Okay gang...let me test the "who's done it" and add a twist...

Mike Vaughn had a CSX-T with Daytona seats in it...and I LOVED how low I sat in the car with those seats! So...far starters...I take it they bolt up without modification being as the bottoms look similar? If so...couldn't I just find some Daytona seats and rob the bottoms off of them and attach them to my Shadow seats and be sitting low and have a lighter seat too? If so who wants to sell me some manual seat bottoms off a Daytona?

I have a seat out of my CSXT and a seat out of my Daytona. I can take a look at them and see what the difference is. I do have a set of manual seat rails from a daytona that I don't plan on using.

hmmm I might want to do this as well. I put shadow seats in a kcar and they sit up high as crap. i assume lebaron GTC seat brackets are going to be comparable to the daytona ones? I have a set of those I can use. power enthusiast seats too. hmmm.

Hey Andy I know where there is a 87-88? base model daytona setting, has gray manual seats close to where I live, I can check an see if he`ll sell the seats, if ya want me to. Mike V`s brother had my old 87 silver daytona, I think it had maual seats in it...don`t know if he still has it or not

Would the manual seats out of a 86 turbo z be the same as a 87 or 88 tona??

Skunkwork, they are the same. My seats are from a first gen.

The seats may be the same, but the mounting holes in the tracks are different an the angle of the front of the tracks where the bolts go through are different too between a 86 an 87 tona...Basically 86 tona seat tracks won`t work an a 87 an newer tona seat tracks will work in a csx-t. Me an Andy checked Saturday evening by looking @ my 86 tona z seats an a 87 base model tona seats...don`t know why dodge changed the floor pans where the seat mounts between 86 an 87 on the tonas.

I know the tona seats work in a shadow because there was a 91 tona seat in an 89 shadow I parted. I think thats an awesome idea. If you ask me the shadow seats are a little too high particularly if you are a tall person. Then you might as well cage it too. It would be too sweet if you did that though.

I'm no stranger to caged Shelby's In fact I think the pic of my caged Shelby Z is still on the SDML readers rides.

Finding two manual seat bottoms has been much harder than I thought!
