SATURDAY & SUNDAY JULY 14TH & 15TH, 2007 BOONE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS, BELVIDERE, IL

Come out and meet Mr. Norm-legendary Muscle Mopar Dealer, Rob Wolf from Mopar Collectors Guide Magazine, participate in our all NEW Mopar Family Reunion on Saturday and see some beautiful Mopars!!

BOTH DAYS
• Gate entry $3 - 12 & under and those with Military ID FREE
• Music all weekend by Dave Palmer with 3-D Sound
• Mr. Norm will be hosting his “car show” within our show and his Midwest debut of his New Dodge Dart GSS.
• HUGE SWAP
• Food vendors
• FREE trailer parking and overnight camping ($25 per night for water and electric hook-up)
• Park in a grassy field with many shade trees.
• Raffles two raffles all weekend set of 4 tires donated by Gary Foster @ Cherry Vale Tire and a Cornwell Tool Box donated by Harold Davidson tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Winner need not be present.
• Event T-Shirts-only $12 / $14 for extended sizes
SATURDAY
• Show entry $5 for car load
• Registration opens at 8am
• NEW Mopar Family Reunion all Mopar Clubs welcome
• Show & shine Mopar show-All Mopar Reunion
• Professional judging-cost is $25 and includes Sunday entry-limited to first 10 entrants.
• Sponsorship Cruises are Back!! Cruise to Belvidere Motors@ 4:00, then on to Anderson Dodge at 6:00
• Car Corral $5
SUNDAY
• Show entry $10 includes driver & 1 passenger
• Registration opens at 7:00am awards at 3pm
• 35 classes with Keokuk Trophies & Best of show
• Dash plaques & goodie bags to first 200 entrants
• Early entrants award-first 100 entries will be eligible for free entry to our show in 2008 to be awarded at trophy presentation
• Car Corral $10

Discounts For all mopars that race. Or just come out to watch Mopars Take over the Strip! *Bruce G. and Scott S. Will be Setting a Grudge match Old Charger vs New Charger!
Then be back at the Fair grounds around 2ish for A special Judged Class for all the cars that raced in the morning. Winner gets Something...

If you cant make both days then Come on Sunday Main show day.
But Sat Will be Lots of fun. The Chicago SDAC Chapter will be Partying All day Sat and Night! We would to See as Many Turbo Dodges as we can Supporting the Club.

More Details on Sat Morning Drag racing at Byron for Mopar Happening:

$500 will be split up and givin out to Winners who have the best time in there Range. (9's-10's)(11-12), ETC
Live Judging will be around 2pm Sat afternoon at The boone county Fair Grounds. So after Racing be back to the Fairgrounds by 2pm. the track is only about 25 miles away from The fairgrounds.

I plan on going to the show on Sunday and entering my wagon. Do you think it would be possible to get all the older turbo cars parked in one spot instead of getting mixed in with the neons and stuff?

Is there a start time for the track event yet? I was planning on getting there about 7 or 8am.

Not sure if Omni will make it but the new pulley and maybe an ice box will be on the dak
Plus with a little luck the new rims/tires will be here by then..

I just pre-registered for the show on Sunday. Anyone else going to pre-reg? Its only $10 and I believe it includes show entry $10 includes driver & 1 passenger, dash plaques & goodie bags to first 200 entrants. The pre-reg has to be in by the 7th so get it in the mail.

Some are racing at Byron Saturday morning
Some are showing up at the fairgrounds for the 'reunion' Saturday afternoon
Some are staying at the Cambridge Inn Saturday night
Some are going to the car show Sunday

And to the rest of you all.... I just got done washing the Shadow... yes, I washed it!!! So if I can bring my non-paint-having almost "murdered out" Shadow to a car show, you can bring your daily driver too! Hope to see you all out tomorrow and or Sunday!

The show was a good time, kind of like a Mini-Mopar nats. I didn't get out there until Saturday afternoon, but I had a good time. Took a ride in JT's Shadow for the cruise night and he walked all over a 340-4spd 73 Charger at a stoplight.

After the Cruise we went back to the hotel and watched the Wraith and Vanishing point projected on the side of the garage out back of the hotel. Of course a few cases of beers were killed in the process. Some of the other old school Mopar guys joined our party and it was a good time.

The weather was perfect all weekend and the show on Sunday was great. MoparMarc took first place in the 95 and newer fwd class with his 01 Neon R/T motorsports edition. I got 2nd in the Fwd modified class with my 85 GLH.

Hoping to make this event even bigger next year, it was good to see everyone that made it out, and for some reason I want to add a turbo K-wagon to my fleet now.

A big CONGRATS to both Marc Polizzi (MoparMarc)with his Motorsports Neon for bringing home a 1st place trophy in FWD Stock 95+ class and Dave Tekampe (Turbodave) with his '85 GLH "Direct Connection" Omni for bringing home a 2nd place trophy in the ever competitive FWD Modified class! Also CONGRATS to Sean Flanagan (Birddog) with his Dakota R/T for winning $50 by participating in both the Mopar Drag day at Byron and the Mopar club reunion! Sean was also our only member to participate in ALL of the events including the Drags, Reunion, both Cruise Nights and the Car Show! Nicely done Sean!

Glad you guys have fun, it's been about 6 years since I lived in that area... probably 7 or 8 years since the last time I went to this show (never entered a vehicle in it though). I used to live in Candlewick Lake (Poplar Grove), about 5 miles up the road from the Boone County Fair Grounds. Good times, good time.

I think I've only missed this show once since 2001, so you may have even seen my red 89 Shadow there.

If your ever out this way again be sure to let us know, I would love to see that Sebring in person.
