On a serious note, I actually did meet a guy who did just this, and the ladies put up with it. They lived in different states, and he traveled a lot so perhaps that played into it.

my wife will be there for some of the events and stuff. she is coming to the car show, drag racing and the hospitality night dinner. my folks live 10-15 min from new stanton so when she gets sick of guy idocy, she can go over there for some peace and quiet.

Easy. It's not done LOL!
The short version is I bought it in Dec. of 03, on Ebay, from Chicago. A friend trailered it to Pittsburgh, where I met him and drove it home (I'm outside of Philadelphia). Went to dig into it...noticed rust...then more rust....then:
-Floorpans? HA!
-Wheelwells? HA!
-Spare tire area? Rusty but intact
Rear suspension, brake lines, front suspension, front rad support (need I go on), all 100% rusted.
Stupidly I attempted to POR-15 the entire car (well most of it), using their paint and epoxy. It took a LONG 3 years to do that (no garage, and very little time explained below), then the task of getting the car back together, took longer than I thought. Add in the fact that I started one company in 2004 and bought out another one in 2005, factor in getting engaged, and also buying a house......well, it left little time to finish the car.
I am actually going to be posting tonight about looking for a rust-free shell, if anyone has one for sale. Looking back, I didn't want to get "beaten" by the fact I got screwed on Ebay, and attempted to fix a rusting POS that should have just been chalked up to a learning experience about Ebay.
