starts hard when cold, stumbles sometimes when hot.
Still working out bugs in my t2 conversion.
I just replaced the fuel rail as the old one sprung a leak. Now the car doesn't like to start when it has sat overnight or for more than a few hours. It fires right up on a hot restart though. Also, it starts to stumble a little at cruise or throttle changes once it has been driving for a while.
I don't have any meaningful codes and I'm stumped. HELP!

Try cycling the key to the on position 3 times before cranking the engine over when it's cold. This will prime the fuel pump 3 times and if it solves the problem then it's very likely related to pressure bleeding off while it sits due to a leaky injector, external leak, bad check valve in the fuel pump, or leaky regulator.

Replaced the regulator with the one off the old fuel rail. starts right up now. Keeping it running when it is cold is another issue though.
