    socketed SBEC

I want a socketed SBEC. I've seen 'em sell for about $50, so I'm looking to pay about that. I can send a core if wanted, but not until after I receive the working socketed board.

    Thanks,
    Ken

    P.S. Also want a set of +40s!

I could socket one for you. I have one here that I've done that you could try, but it's not tested. It was a recent reman but supposedly still cut out after the work was done. The chips replaced were not the chip we are intersted in and I suspect that was where the problem was. If you're interested I'll sell it for less than 50 bucks because it's unknown, but I'd like a core to replace it.

Whorse, I'd prefer a known working board. If you were willing to test the one you have then I would take you up on the offer.

I can try but I need to find a working 90 car first. What's your timeline?

Not urgent, I still need to install my fuel pump and buy some +40s before I can really have fun

I only have the one to work with. If you want to send me one I can socket it for you.

Chris, you can't do that. A TBI computer is different than a turbo computer as TBI runs one big injector, where a turbo runs 4, basically. TBI I think is said to have one injector driver and turbo to have 2.

not tbi....i'm talking about the mexican mpi n/a setup that was similar to the ffv calibration. unfortunately the ffv cal was in '93-95 and the SBEC 1 was replaced by the SBEC 2 after 1991. but the mexican mpi cars came out in in 1990. i can get the cal, just don't have a socketed sbec.
