    Floor pan repair

Want to repair the floor pan in my car. Where can I get decent thickness sheet metal for this task?

What thickness do you recommend? The only thing I could find at home depot seemed way too flimsy to use on my floor pan.

Also what do you recommend I use to seal it after I weld the new metal in?

    Re: Floor pan repair

I picked up a sheet of 20 gauge. My brother works at a fab shop running a CNC laser so I can get metal at his dicounted cost. But anyway, that should be plenty stout enough if you roll a couple beads in it.

After welding, seal it up with seam sealer. Any body supply shop should have it. Its the stuff the factory seals seams with. That's what it's designed for so it works real good.
