I have a 2.4L Turbo (off a PT) alternator and would like to know which wires go to what terminals on it, power, ground, etc... anyone have a nice FSM wiring diagram or pictures?
Supermarket ads like Meijer Ad can help you with saving on fuel.

If anyone can confirm that the 2.0L stuff was similar, then I've got the '99 FSM that should help.
We can look at the pictures and see if they look like this alternator?

the large stud goes directly to the battery. Its case grounded so no wire for that. The little plug is for the field wires, they can go either way, they go to the voltage regulator
Either way? cool. How is the case grounded, thru the mount or a seperate wire like the older turbo cars?

Either way meaning the fields polarity is not important, as in you can switch them back and forth(no + and -). The alternator grounded from the bracket I suppose, you dont need wire for the ground
^^^^
correct!
Yep, the case grounds through the bracket. The 2.0's and 2.4's don't have any rubber isolators on the alternator mount (that's why our 2.2's need a seperate ground).
I've still got a plug with about 4" of wire on it somewhere in my garage for your field wires.

I did a ground upgrade and ran some 4 AWG wire I think it was from the negative terminal to various points in the engine bay, including the alternator. Just put the terminal under one of the mounting bolts for it. Not required, but it seems to smooth things out a bit.
