FS: Fast 90 minivan

School and the long haul is starting to wear on me. I can't afford a 13 second vehicle right now and I'm behind on some bills. I'm trying to do the intelligent thing and get back into the hobby after I graduate next year.

So here's the run down. 1990 Dodge Caravan ES. It has 137,000 miles on the body. Looking for $3,500 OBO.

Block:
Rebuilt 10,000 miles ago by Rob Pachner with new rings and bearings - excellent compression

Top end:
T3/T04E 50 trim turbo w/ S2 wheel. Has about 10,000 miles on it
Knockoff SSQV BOV
2.5" aluminum intercooler pipes with silicone couplers and T-bolts
F350 FMIC
Headgasket also has 10,000 miles on it
In cab MBC
Catch can
DevilzOwn water injection

Exhaust:
2.5" SV with 3" downpipe to a 3" straight muffler to a side exit under the sliding door

Fuel:
Walbro 255L/Hr fuel pump
Accufab AFPR
+40's

Transmission:
Rob Pachner full rebuild
5 clutch pack
5 pinion planetary gear rings
RMVB
New torque converter with torrington bearing

Suspension/Brakes:
Newish 11" rotors and pads
New Daytona front struts
New heavy duty rear shocks
New front ball joints

Maintanence:
New starter
New radiator and hoses
New brake lines and fuel lines front to back
New fuel filter
New master cylinder
New wheel cylinders
New front axles
PB solid front motor mount (comes with PB side motor mount)
New shifter cable

Electrical:
5" AutoMeter Phantom tach with shift light
30/30 Autometer Phantom boost gauge
AEM UEGO wideband O2

So those are all the good. The bad are: The rear hatch is developing rust, the pass/rear 1/4 panel has some rust on the lip. I have a TBI head on it, it's held up fine so far, but the valve springs aren't turbo springs and the valves float past 4,300 so performance is cut a tad. It has a hitch still...

It's ran a 13.85 at 101 on a 2.2 60' running 21psi. Dynoed it made 248WHP/298WTQ. On slicks with the right valve springs low 13's are VERY doable from this van. It also has every option so it's a little fat.

I've taken good care of it and it's my pride. It sucks to let it go but I have to do what I gotta do.

Bump for a Killer van!! Too bad you werent closer, Id love to find a decent Caravan ES to put a five speed setup in. Good luck with the sale, why dont you return it to a stock cal and drive it??

I agree, try to stock it out and mpg the crap out of it until you can afford it. No sense selling and then having to buy back later at higher cost of building another one.

Chuck, my neighbor has a decent shape 97? neon coupe, 2.0 SOHC 5spd. Runs good and gets 40mpg hwy. Bright red, base model with hubcaps, nothing fancy, but it looks to be in nice shape. If your interested let me know and I'll get a price for you.

Just keep it, It's paid off isnt it? I could understand if you had a $400 a month payment and you want to get out of it to buy a cheap car and have paid off. You have put all that work into it and it seems to be a good vehicle.
