It is supposed to work in any 413 based tranny... including the v6 and neon. I will verify that though.

I would buy one. Hey Frank, were you thinking of double bolting it? Or having long bolts go all the way thru the spacer? Just a thought. Might be alot stronger to double-bolt em... plus I've heard it's a PITA to find good fasteners for this application.

Myself and Cliff Ramsdell have been working this and we have the fasteners that require no modification at all. These bolts cost more, however they come out to the same cost of machine work because of the additional time it takes to make the extra holes, etc.

But don't you think that using a long bolt like that could be a weakness?

    Re: Interest: A413 OBX/Quaife Spacers....

Not at all. I would say yes if there were alot of twisting play, but there wont be. Each bolt whole will be no bigger then nessecary, and in addition, this adapter almost needs to be pressed on to the diff carrier and then the ring gear on to it. The trick will be to freeze the diff carrier, oven the adapter, put it on, then freeze that and oven the ring gear. Bolt together and walla.

The longer bolts are not a problem when there is not play. Even with the slopier fit, Carl never had any problems with his. I think this will be A++.

31TH, 404, 413, 670, are all the same diff. (any 3-speed FWD Mopar trans.) The only difference is when the big axles are used starting in '87. I use the 24 bolt spacers with 7/16"-20 threads in the spacer. With ARP bolts with the small heads, it requires little grinding on the case.

Contact T2Shadow for the spacers and needed bolts. he ran some on Cad equipment. For the spacer and bolts, it was under $100 shipped. For better Belleville washers for the OBX contact Rbryant. $15 shipped.
