    bad fuel smell

got an 84 rampage, 2.2 carb, 4spd. after i have driven vehicle any distance and turn it off, there is a really strong gas type oder that eminates from the truck for quite a while. this is especially noticeable when its parked in the attached garage. there are no fuel leaks, doesnt seem to be comming from the gas tank. could this be from that charcoal cannister being plugged or something, pvc....????? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as the fumes get into the house(not good)..........................ss

make sure the line from the tank to the charcoal canister is hooked up and not split.

Mine was making the same smell mainly in summer because of canister, it is gone now and smells like gas cause its free to air.
