how to drag my glh omni????

85 omni glh @20 psi wt/2 set-up.

ran 13.94 @101 mph on street nitos.

ran 13.99 @ 100 mph on 23.5x7.5/15 m&h slicks

car seems to lack power in first and 2nd gear with slicks and feels and runs slower.

a 520 3:50 w/moly plate

also my car was set up for ice racing,no front sway bar,so it seems to rock back and forth a bit when i shift gears.

any ideas?

What I was thinking, could be severely low (causing it to rock) or extremely high. What were your RPMs coming out? What were your 60' times? Need more info man. Also the link doesn't work for me either.

yeah, need 60' to really be of any help.

I found out there is a dramatic difference in the way you launch a car on street tires, vs. how you launch with slicks. You should be able to run 1.8 -> 1.9 60' times pretty easily with slicks.

yeah, if you have a 2.17 60' w/ street tires and a 2.4 60' with slicks then odds are your not launching it right for the slicks to really work.

only two passes? keep practicing. a well tuned 20 psi t2 omni should go high 12's....hit the dyno 1st to check everything it's well worth the cost.

gonna tune sons car this weekend..........

thing that i don't like seeing is the rear of the car drops 5 or more inches when you shift gears........

maybe his shocks are worn out..

his brother drove it with slicks and seems to feel that motorxploder needs to practice launches......

we ran slicks @13 psi........

to me it looked like tires were skittering during launch...

if junior don't figure out the 12's soon.........he will blow it up trying

believe me he has earned the nick name.

What was he launching at Deuce? try ~11 psi after they are warm, decent burnout starting in the water till they smoke and roll out, if you hear a screech they stick... Launch at 5000 and hang on
