    Brakes rattle

This is on the Spirit. 11" rotors KH calipers. I've got 1 front brake rotor that's slightly warped (shakes a little on braking, but not violently). The warped rotor I can live with for a few more days since I've got new ones on the way. The thing is, the pads rattle really badly in the caliper on that wheel. It happens with slight pressure and goes away during hard braking. I would imagine alot of it can be attributed to the warped rotor, but then again, I've had several vehicles with rotors warped much worse than this that didn't rattle.
I'm wondering if there isn't something like a little wire spring or some sort of clip missing that should be there to help hold the pads?
Any tips or advice on how to shut this thing up until my new pads/rotors get here would be much appreciated.

There should be some sort of anti-rattle clip or something on there. It's been a while since I've done brakes on an R/T so I can't remember what style clips they use.

    Re: Brakes rattle

    Thanks Dave.
There isn't a clip or wire spring either on the pads or caliper itself. I really wish I could find a pic of an assembled set of R/T front brakes so I can see exactly what is missing. I doubt I'd be lucky enough to find replacements at a parts store unless maybe something else used the same caliper, but if I knew what they looked like I might be able to make something from another application work.

R/T calipers and brackets are minivan spec... i forget the years, but I think it's around '94 to '96 would be a safe guess for parts # lookup. If you buy calipers at NAPA for them, they come with the clips and pins. rebuilt calipers cost me $20 each.

    Thanks Steve!
I'll do some looking and see if any of the parts stores offer the clips for the vans. My calipers are fine other than that.
