    Re: coolant temp sensors

This is something I never thought about. I dont have hard facts other then some deductable reasoning. We know that there are two coolant sensors - one for the computer and one for the gauge. Guages are switchable between years without any issues, people swap heads without any issues, people do logic module and ecu swaps without problems. So other then threading, etc, they are the same!?!

I got all 85 and up fuel injected Dodges, 2.2 or 2.5 use the same computer coolant temp sensor. Carb and 84 and down use another number.

    Re: coolant temp sensors

well my two cars that have been converted to TII glhs electronics havent idled right on cold start ups since they were converted 2 years ago. so i put temp sensors from blow thru cars and now they idle fine every morning. the draw thru and blow thru sensors dont even look the same and use a different size wrench. so maybe they are different....

    Re: coolant temp sensors

Production change. I have seen different sizes depending on year, brand etc but the thread is always the same.
