    Any years different than others? I heard 3rd gear issues w/ '05?

    JT, I will pull the trans out of my 91 Daytona tomorrow if you'll take it for $400 with the shifter and cables. I'll even throw in a 3.50 a523 main shaft and ring gear with the deal. The 523 parts are from a 90 trans, but I'm not sure it makes any difference.

    Oh c'mon JT, this car never made more than 200 ft-lbs of torque! You think it can pit the gears? I'll take a look at them when I park the car in its final destination and send you some pictures. That might not happen until next week, but I'm actively trying to get rid of stuff this month.

    The syncro teeth (on the gears) can get just as F'd up with only 100hp... how many miles are on it? I wouldnt care but this think is gonna go in a car that will eventually make mad power

    It looks like first gear has about 10 thousandths of clearance between the friction clutch and the gear and 2nd has about 16 thousandths. I just looked in the factory service manual and there is no spec for the syncros. I figure it's good news that the 2nd gear syncro has more clearance than the first gear syncro though.
