ignition
Does anyone know what wire in the steering column I tap into to hook up a push button start. I have a 89 dodge shadow turbo es automatic.

Re: ignition
Give me one sec, I'm at work and I'll go look at the car. Might not have the tools to check

Re: ignition
Ignition wire looks to be a big thick black one. This should lead to the yellow wire on the starter relay.

Re: ignition
There is a wire harness plug on the L/S under the hood by the computer that if you wire a switch with a 12 volt source the car will start. That is where I have my push button start wired into. My car had a short in it for a while and that was the only way I could start it until I fixed it. But once it is fixed you can start is either way. Key or push button. I can take a pic tonight of what the plug looks like.

Re: ignition
cool that would be awesome. I am getting ready to yank the motor out for a replacement trying to find a suitable one right now. Going to hide the push button in the front console under the ashtray. Did a junkyard search for engine on internet just trying to decide who to trust on the engine
