    TurboZ Pinstripe

The original pinstripe around TurboZ's and ShelbyZ's appears to be painted or the colour is in the plastic of the trim. Has anybody tried to reproduce this? I'm thinking of painting the gold, and mask off the stripe before painting the black. I've tried tape stripe before, but it never stayed on it the front. Is there a better quality tape that lasts?

I changed mine to silver. Mine stays one fine, just clean it well. I used Dupli-color black bumper cover paint to color the black then layed the stripe over it.

If I use the tape stripe can I clear coat over it to protect it? Or is that a bad idea? I was thinking of getting the replacement "TurboZ" decals on the window frames and clear coat over those aswell.

Try: Positive Impressions . His stripes are cut to compensate for curves, and are 3M auto grade vinyl.
