    adjustable cam sproket needed?

Buddy cracked his 782 slider head and sent out for a re-manned one. they sent a 782 roller. is that going to be off? by how much? should he swap his slider cam and rockers to the new head?

Yep, this will move the powerband up a bit and may induce a bit of lag. As for running a slider, look under the cam caps, if they have the squirter grooves, you can use it, if not, roller or you'll wipe out the slider very fast.
