    Exclamation 1996 neon 5 spd computer

    im looking for a 96 neon computer .did a tranny swap in it because the auto died and i am in need of a 5 spd computer now check light on for torqe converter swich.and they won't inspect me .and possibly a uncut engine harnessas well (but dont think needed tho).any ideas welcome

    So you need to do an emission test and they won't test it with the engine light on? Hell, pull the bulb.

    Other than that, keep in mind 95 will not work. Maybe junkyards are a decent alternative.

    You could try taking the torque converter soleniod off valve body and plug it in and wire tie to side of trans should keep engine lamp off, but if that doesn't work try www.neons.org

    That, or do what I did. Get a cheap relay like you'd use for fog lights, wire the 2 wires for the lockup solenoid to the solenoid terminals on the relay(polarity on the relay doesn't matter, so one wire to one pin, one wire to the other one), strap it out of sight. Worked on my '89 Shadow until I get the right puter for that one.
