Anyone Have The ECU (MP?) For Carb'd 85 GLH/Shelby Chargers?

I'm looking for the codes for my 85 GLH. It's carb'd, so the turbo cal won't work at all. I'd like the MP cal if anyone has it, but if not it'd be neat to tinker with it in ChEM.

It doesn't have a LM. It just has a spark control computer, which I believe is all mechanical.

There's a listing for an MP computer for it in my 2.2/2.5 FWD book though

Yes, there was an MP computer available, but it was still not an LM.
It was just an upgraded spark computer. I believe it had more aggressive spark, but that was it.

The old carb'd cars are completely different in terms of electronics.

Ah I see. That does sound like what I am looking for though. Do you know anything about what makes the electronics different? I would think if it's a performance computer it would just be a different chip like the rest.

Yeah, I don't know what exactly was changed in them, they had a vacuum line run over to them onto a vacuum diaphragm.

Do you have one from the stock car? You should tear it apart and see whats in there.

I have one but my car won't run without it. Like the 92+SBECs, don't want to tear it apart without a backup.

The last itch I tried to scratch was a bad power steering pump and it just went from a mosquito bite to a case of malaria...ugh

For it to be viewable in chem, the chip (if there is one) would have to be more or less of the same family of computers. Since all the MP box did was increase the spark timing curve some, using a 6811 based chipset with an eprom is sort of way overkill. It probably uses some kind of proprietary hard coded microcontroller. Whether it uses that or not remains to be seen, but it certainly doesn't need the sophistication of a computer chip & memory. I don't know of anyone who has dug into it at all. There are no onboard diagnostics (codes to view) either according to the guide I have.
