Barry, Whats the pre-registration looking like. Im just curious if the fuel cost are keeping people from attending.
How many signed up for drag racing? Im in on it, but havent had the chance to register.
We are at 24 registrations total with 12 signed up to drag race. This is a low figure, but it's only a little lower than normal for still being a month away.
Having folks pre-register helps us with the event planning and the expenses that must be paid prior to the start, but it has never been a good indicator of how well the event will be attended.
At SDAC-15 we set a record for overall attendance, motel rooms sold, and car show participation. But the pre-registrations for SDAC-15 were about average and we had no idea at all how many folks would be there until we got on site and saw the motel parking lot fill up.
As a reminder to everyone, whether an SDAC member or not, you can save money by pre-registering! Once on site all fees increase, for both members and non-members.
Our website has all the info, and the new SDAC Online Store will accept PayPal for SDAC-17 Pre-Registration.
