Ever tried the M&H 21.5X14 slicks?

These short tires would bring down the gearing, but do they really provide much traction? I normaly use a .92 gearset and tall "V" rated tires for running Mercs and BMWs off the autobahn but it'd be interesting to put it through the 1/4 occasionally. I have a set of 14" steel wheels rusting away in the garage that get used as work stands from time to time. Heard anything about these slicks?

The first slicks I ever bought were MT 20x8 on a 14" rim. Back in '96 they were all that you could buy to fit these cars. In my Z with A555 I was shifting into 5th at the 1000' mark running 13's. Everyone running auto trans cars with teh long gear had a little better luck with them.

After that I got a set of MT 22x8 on a 15" rim. They worked great for a while. With a A555 no 5th gear required till faster than 12.0's...
