    looking for a turbo

    looking for a turbo dont have alot of cash i will be turbo a 2.4l stratus motor that is going in my neon and i need a list of anything i need i'm new to the turbo world

    Good to see a new Canadian Mopar. I would help out as I have two spare turbo's but not the ones that you would want for a hybrid project. I'm sure someone on here can hook you up, if not the vendors can. Don't cheap out on the turbo or engine internals.

    I would try to find a turbo from a 80's turbo 2.3 ford engine. It's a 60 trim T3 compressor, and find one with the .63 turbine housing NOT the .48, you'll want the better top end flow with a 16 valve engine. And you'll need the inlet and outlet pipes for the compressor as well since they both bolt on.

    With the .63 the turbo should be good for atleast 300 HP or more, yet still have very fast spoolup. Instead of having to get the outlet pipe, here's what I did to my ford compressor housing to be able to fit a clamped hose on it. You still have to get the inlet pipe though.
