    T1 SMEC MTX / 1989 / 2.2 liter / 8valve / 3bar / +40inj

    I modified the 2.5 T1 cal to run a 2.2. Here's that base cal. I only made a manual, 3-bar, +40 version.

    Updated:

Added 2-step staging limiter. Both switch and speed de-activated. Either one will de-activate the staging limiter. The staging limiter is setup the same as the normal rev limiter (with a fuel off setpoint and a fuel on setpoint). If you have any questions about setting this up, please shoot me a PM.

sweet dude, I'll be trying this when I get my daytona together later this summer/fall.

It will be a bit of a test though cause Im going to use DSM 450cc inj and the motorola MPX6300 3-bar sensor. should work ok though.

Can you implement this rpm limiter to the SBEC ?

I tried this calibration on my GLH and the car was way too lean, I had to go with the Super 60 calibration then it was OK.

Are these scales for 52pph or 58pph "+40s"?

A friend and I, have been tuning his car with this cal and it was indeed a bit lean. I have been richening it up and adding a bit more timing a little at a time and it seems to be going strong.

We will be hitting the track on wednesday and we are hoping for 14's.

    Car specs:

    88 lebaron
    Automatic
    stock block, stock head
    T1 Garrett turbo
    2.5" exhaust
    3bar map and +40% injectors

Last run in his car with me and the back seat in, was a 15.5 at around 85mph, 60' time was a lousy 2.6. Boost unknown, we have a stock guage(sp?) pegging out at 15psi, haha. That was with a TU calibration installed.

With the back seat and me out of the car it runs a 15.2. Hence the 200lb+ lbs removed, meaning 2/10th or so of a second.

I will let everyone know how we do.

Just wondering since I'm running a manual trans with this cal, seems that the MAP Constants number 7, 30, 31, 38, and 40 are all selected for the 3 bar auto trans. Should I switch these to 3 bar MTX or are they that way on purpose?

I've based one or two cals on this one and I do recall having to set correctly the trans bits as well as a few other things that weren't quite right (one or two MAP settings were still 2 bar and I seem to recall having to tweak a few other things). I did these cals "blind" as I did not run them myself, but I think they turned out OK. That's all I can remember.

FWIW, I'm in the process of adding a 2.2 assembler option to Turbonator SMEC. I did find a few things I missed in this cal. So, look for Turbonator SMEC v12 in the next couple of weeks.

Sounds good rob, I won't have my car together until a couple weeks so thats perfect. I have a G headed 2.2 so I'll definitely have to make some timing adjustments, so I won't be the perfect guinea pig but I certainly want to try to get some boost building off the line now that I have slicks.

Is anybody else running this cal? I cannot get the staging limiter to work, used to work just fine with the 2.5L with the old calibration but now I switched to a 2.2L so I'm using this cal and now the staging limiter doesn't work.
I'm using the A/C switch as the activator, have it set to kick off at 3 MPH like before, and made sure the RPM's were 150 RPM apart on the on/off settings. Also made sure that the correct one was the higher value.
I was looking at my old 2.5 cal though trying to find anything different. The only thing I found that I'm going to try tomorrow is under the ''config const'' table the number 1 box which just has ''??'' beside it is checked in my old cal but not in this one. Not sure if that does anything but I'm going to try checking it and just seeing what happens.
