Well the title says it all I am looking for the best place to buy carpet for a Daytona. My new car seems to be both a flood car from South Dakota and a rodent farm oops I guess I get to giddy when looking at something new. Thanks Ben

+1 ACC is good stuff, that is where I got the carpet for my Daytona.

jcwhitney, has them, pretty reasonable too if I remember correctly.
thanks
Is there a way to find out what the factory color is?
What year and color is it? ACC has recommendations, they will also send you samples if you talk to them.

How close is the actual color of the carpet to that shown onscreen? Of course you have to sample it, but just out of curiosity, ya know haha...
Also, a side note, I noticed in a previous thread that Clay mentioned he bought his carpet through an ACC vendor - auto-interior.com - where the same exact carpet I was looking at on ACC ($190) was $113 on this site. I am wondering if anyone has dealt with auto-interior.com, and even so, is it worth going through them for carpet or just to put up the money and go through ACC? Is the molding very good with ACC? What about extra lengths needed to be cut?
They told me to cut a square out of my carpet from an area that was covered up and out of the sun. They sent me three samples. I chose the closest.
Don't expect it to look identical to your factory carpet. It actually looks better than the factory stuff, but it wouldn't work if you are going for factory perfect. I know that it weighs a lot less than the factory carpet.

It's fairly close. I had a hard time choosing between 2 of the 3 samples they sent.

junkyard.
If you saw what I pulled out of my 1985 Ram today, you wouldn't say that. ALL the carpet & sound deadener will go in the dumpster.

Just as a note: I bought carpet from JCW that was made by ACC for my '89 'Baron convertible. The front fits perfect, but the rear doesn't fit AT ALL!!! I had to almost cut the whole thing in half also to get it to work. The older 'Barons used a raised trans tunnel in the center of the car for unibody bracing. The coups didn't have this and have the same floorpan layout as Daytona's. In any case it seems to me that the pattern they have is either for newer(possibly started in 1991 where the extra support was moved out to thicker rockers and andded B-pillar support) or for non-convertible 'Barons. I don't know exactly how to fix what I've got at the moment, but eventually I will get it right...it's just going to take a LOT of cutting and time....
Kevin, how did the carpet fit into your Charger? Was it just a drop in job with minor trimming?
I know we went through Legendary Interior for my Dad's 1970 Coronet 500 Convt. and the carpet was perfect. I had to walk all over it in my socks to make sure it was snug in all corners and what not.
When I first opened the box, I was worried it wouldn't fit. It was wrinkled beyond belief. I laid it out in the sun on top of a Shelby Charger I had and the wrinkles came out of it. I had to trim around the edges in the front and by the doors. Do yourself a favor and order a flat piece for the rear cargo area.
