2007 Hot Rod Power Tour

Anybody going?
My wife Thelma and I will be joining the Tour in Springfield, IL
We will travel to Evansville, IN then onto Memphis, TN
I know it's a little early but motels fill up quickly so for those
that are going you might want to start the process now.

This will be the first time in the Red '88 Shelby Z. We used the GTC VNT
Convertible in 2005 and 2006.

I want to go bad since I'm in Indy this year and most of my family and friends are near the Memphis area. I've wanted to do the long haul since it started but the stars haven't aligned in my favor. This year its a combination of the car won't be done and I can't get a week off work.

Tony, do you do this every year? No way I can make it this year, my vacation time is already set for SDAC. But one of these years I definately want to go again. When it came thru Lincoln several years back, it was an awesome time, even if it did rain all day.

Adam, this is our third year......would like to do the Long Haul some year.


May do this when I get the Barracuda restored.....maybe 2008 or 2009

I'm retired and my wife gets 5 weeks of vacation so making the time for it
is not a problem for us thank goodness.

The racine show was awesome (except the rain). They had it all set up very nice and a ton of nice cars. Does anyone know a person from ohio with a red spirit r/t that is on the tour? I saw the car parked with the rest of the power tour cars and it had ohio plates that read turbo III or something like that.

Not of the Spirit. I forgot the camera in the car and when I got back to the same area later in the day the car was gone.

Ran into this guy on the way from Springfield, IL to
Evansville, IN

He was from Ohio and his plate was "TRBO III" if I remember correctly.

I had blown a tire and was in the rest stop near Evansville on I-64
on my Red Shelby Z when he came up to see if I needed any help.
Didn't get his name...
he was an older gentleman about my age (59). Saw him a couple of
times on the highway during the Tour.

I am including a pic from the autocross in E-ville.

Talked to him at Memphis about drag racing it...he said if he
was set up with spray for the IC he would run.....it was very warm.
