Anyone know how the cowl sheet metal at the base of the windshield is attached? Is it bolted/screwed down under the fender on each side (and possibly under the windshield trim) or is it spot welded on. I found a hood/cowl and hatch with great paint, same color as mine, and planning how long to spend out there in the -22 C weather.

both of my cars are spotwelded on.
asuuming we're talking of the same piece, which i'm sure we are. it's where the wipers attach? that 4" strip right below the window. spot welded all the way!
yes that's the piece. Drat. I was hoping to pull one that has good paint guess not.

that piece is small, and would be very easy to paint. what color is your car?
