    Corrosion

Corroded turn signal/brake lamp sockets. Is there any way to remove the bulbs and clean the sockets, or am I better off hitting up the JY and cutting/splicing replacements in?

    Re: Corrosion

The bulbs should just 1/4 turn out. If too corroded the bulb might seperate then have to try to get the base of the bulb out with needle nose pliers. Once out, cna try to clean and re-greas eteh socket. If it doesn't come out or gets damaged in the removal, or is un cleanable, then probably need to get a new (or used but better) socket.

I was afraid of that... These are looking pretty crusty. Is there anything I should pre-soak with?

Key I know works wonders for nuts/bolts, never tried it on electrical corrosion.
