I'm looking for a naturally aspirated Spirit or Acclaim. I've searched and posted on craigslist, autotrader, ebay, everything, but it seems no one wants to pay to advertise something of so little value.
Anyway, I'm looking for a '90 or older.
reliable and driveable - no projects or bleeders
don't car much about appearance
working heat, A/C would be nice, but not necessary
4 cylinder (whatever they came with 2.2/2.5, just no V6)
Preferably in or close to Missouri.

Ahh man, that is EXACTLY what I'm looking for....
...except... I need a 1990 or older.
There is a huge insurance break at 1990 and older. ($58 a month for a 90 spirit vs $110 a month for a 1992 spirit).

your kidding, why would there be any difference in insurance. maybe you need to ask them why there's so much difference in price or find a different company. my insurance is $125/ 6months $300k/$500k coverage. on any car with a few exeptions like exotic or High performance stuff like Vette's or Mustangs, Vipers etc.

I've found out since then that progressive is the only one who does that. I guess they are doing some 15-year-old mark or something, because it was that way with all omnis, shadows, spirits, everything. Almost double the rates after 91.
Anyway, I've decided not to use progressive, so I'm open for any year Acclaim or Spirit.
110 dollars a month on a spirit NA??? (w/liability???) I'm paying 121 a month on a 2003 mustang cobra and 1990 volvo 240 DL. I have comp on my spirit because I'm not driving it. Actually it doesn't run yet. I changed my insurance when I was 23 to 21st Century because it was a bit cheeper than my other insurance company. I'm hoping it will go down once I get married.
Go to www.21st.com and see if they can get you a cheeper quote.

Yeah, I've found out progressive is not very cheap and that the quotes they give you for the "other guys" aren't right either.
