    T1 log turbo upgrades?

Are there any mods that can be made to a standard T1 log turbo to make it perform better (larger exhaust housing?)? I'm looking for turbo upgrades/mods specifically to maintain the log setup (the log setup [intake/exhaust/head/TB] will get some porting done also and alky later).

You could put a .63 scroll on and a 2.5 swingvalve but the biggest restriction on those cars are the intakes.

*Laugh* I'd love to put the complete engine from my SL into the GLH, but I can't bring myself to do that since it's still running and numbered... I'm still debating on whether or not to go through the expense and downtime of converting to TII...

I have my 86 Reliant wagon still running the log set up. With a few easy mods it is running 15.08 with a shotty 60 ft time.

No sir it is not, but my SL (Shelby Lancer) is - I learned that a LONG time ago. I've been around longer than you think.

I've played around with plenty of logs. Both stock and intercooled. Turned up the boost, played around with them all ways and shapes. Did the modified log with a Volvo IC and the stock TB.

Nothing... Nothing you can do will compare to a stock blowthrough conversion. It may not be initially faster, but it is SO much easier to modify and takes to modifications SO well.

Make a list of everything you need. Start collecting parts. Check them off and when everything is checked, take a weekend and convert it.

There is NOTHING difficult in the conversion.

I think you're right... I need to start soaking the fasteners in penetrant now. 10 years in a Western Washington field does wonders for oxidization and corrosion... Fortunately, I've got enough cash to start amassing parts as fast as they are available.
