Exclamation K-car brakes and PT wheels on an Omni??

I'm putting my 89 TBI omni back on the road and I want to put 5X100 wheels on it. I have the complete brake system from an 86 NewYorker at my disposal. Will it install more or less directly on my Omni? I'm not worried about super performance right now I just want 5X100.

Will I need the complete system? M/C, proportioning valve, and all or just the brakes themselves?

If I do this conversion will the offset of a set of 16X6 PT cruiser wheels work? Also, what size tires do you put on an L-body with 16in rims?

    Thanks all!

i would use a 24mm m/c if you can get on. use the prop valve and all the brake parts that will swap!

Everything but the front knuckle. You'll have to machine it down.

What kind of machining? There the knuckle fits into the strut there with the two bolts? I would need to make that more narrow? How would one do that?

you could either do it yourself i.e. hold it up to a grinding wheel, etc, or take it somewhere.

if for some reason this is more appealing to you, i BELIEVE you can press a 5-bolt hub into your existing spindle using the stock bearing (replacing it at same time of course).

Has anyone else heard this? I've seen more of people modifying Daytona steering knuckles for the task. I assume the K-car and the Daytona have the same knuckle. If I can just press it on and mound the brakes on the old knuckles that would be great!

16x6 wheels are kinda a weird size, 15x7 would make alot more sense.

My mistake. Daytona pumpers. The Shadows did have 15"s, as seen on Boostboy's 90VNT shadow for sale.
