Angry Dummy Light and Tranny Go BOOM!?

    Hey all,

It's been a while, been without net at home because everything with electronics is $#@%@!# breaking around me. So that aside, I was driving and it seemed like the tranny wasn't gripping at lower RPMs but once it was going all was good. Pretty soon on my way to work, Dummy light pops up and says Low Trans Pressure and then it just stopped grabbing. (needless to say, this doesn't qualify for the help section as I'm no longer stuck on the side of the road). What kinds of things should I be looking for when considering a rebuild? Or should I just scrap the one I have and swallow it and buy a pre-rebuilt unit? And any ideas of what may have happened? Someone said the fluid pump seal may have blown but I'm somehow thinking it might have been more than that? Thanks everyone!

For the money ($600 for a street and strip rebuild) I think I'd get in touch with Chris at TU. That's what I was going to do when the auto died in my old Daytona until I lucked into a parts car with a 555.
