As far as I know it should work no problem EXCEPT that the mini-van uses a different plastic housing so you would need to take the boards out of this SMEC and put them into your empty mini van plastic case.

PS- Are we talking a stock T-I minivan or are we talking about a Turbo Mini that you're upgrading to a T-II?

No idea. The Chrysler parts book doesn't show computers with or without cruise and I know when dealers add cruise control onto a car that didn't come with cruise they NEVER have had to change the SMEC.
I've personally added factory Mopar cruise to cars that didn't come with cruise and never have I had to change the SMEC.
Yes I'm familiar with the stories floating around but until someone can show proof I say those stories are bunk.

40$ is a good deal, thats the one all the 2.2L auto masi guys want for a cheap hp upgrade. easily sell it on the TC board for like 80$
