Poor idle and stuttering in reverse.

I have a 1991 Dodge shadow N/A TBI car, I know it's not turbo but I know that you guys can help, that has some poor low idle characteristics. When I put the car into reverse, the car begins to shake and shutter quite roughly, but when you put it back into any other gear it smooths out. This has been happening for years when my Great Aunt owned the car, but I have now inheritted the car and it is bothering me. Also, when the car is idling in park it seems to run a little bit rough. I get a code 36 when I do the whole key on-off.......cycle. I have suspected the IAC for years but my Aunt never wanted to fix it because she was so used to it that it didn't bother her. She now got a new car (Honda) and is amazed as to how smooth it is. I would really like to fix this before I drive it, so any help would be greatly appreciated, GTS.

YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST, EVERY QUESTION I ASK ALWAYS RECEIVES A PROMPT ANSWER THAT HELPS ME FIX THE PROBLEM QUICKLY. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
