1985 shelby charger T1 upgrade to blow through

Hey All, I got my Shelby at the beginning of 2006 and spent the entire year getting it running and repainted. I have a blow through intake and related parts on the bench. This is a must if I intend to be faster than the log manifold. My problem is I feel uneasy about rigging my L/M and E/C to work with this intake. Is it in fact possible and has someone out there personally done this. I dont plan to exceed 15 psi on this engine and I plan to intercool it.
Would I be better off to just intercool the log manifold. I have read that these stack up at 12 psi. It seems to me if it was a good idea Dodge would have I/C'd the log.
Which intercooler (stock style) will fit the Charger the easiest.
I have seen some instructions on doing this and would like to see more variations if there are any.

The easiest thing to do is run a rad/IC combo out of a TII daytona.

The conversion is not too bad at all, and is well worth it IMO. You only have to run a couple wires and then splice into another one. It is easy if you write down the directions and actually follow them. It was actually so easy that I overlooked something simple, and spent an afternoon trying to figure out what I did wrong. It was no big deal at all. I think it was well worth it, as my omni is runnning quite well right now, I am making my own cals, and most of 3rd gear is usless. It is nice to see all my work pay off the way it has.

    Good luck.

    cordes,
Thanks for your reply, you made it sound easy to do and if you mean by the phrase (third gear is useless) that all you get is tire spin in third, it sounds awesome.
Can you provide me with a link to the instructions you used? Also, I am curious if you can tell me what year Daytona TII radiator to use.
Thanks again for your reply and assistance, it is appreciated!

'87 - '89 Dayona Shelbys are the best donor for factory parts. Mild modification of the brackets is needed for it to mount up. Otherwise, if you don't mind a little more fabrication, you can use just about any intercooler you can find. These are pics of my CSX-T which used an Isuzu NPR intercooler (plenty of info on that IC on this board) and a stock Shelby Charger radiator.

This exact setup will be going in my '86 Shelby Charger in the very near future.

Don't know the year, but it's off of an NPR Diesel truck, like the ones that deliver Krispy Kreme donuts. The piping is 2.5" exhaust tubing from Walker (Summit or Jegs should carry it), and the mounting brackets were all fabricated from 1/8" x 1" aluminum strips from Home Depot. Unfortunately I didn't take any good pics. The panel you see on top was fabed out of sheet aluminum also from the Home Depot. I did this to direct as much air as possible thru the radiator instead of going around, due to the fact that the radiator was moved back away from the radiator support. I also had ducting along the sides for the same purpose. All fabrication was done with a drill, a bench vice, a rivet gun, and a ball peen hammer.

As I get closer to finishing the Charger, I will be taking detailed photos of all my fabrication work which will be posted on here.
