Alright, I'll see what I can find.
I put a spacer in the brush holder for now to use up the last bit of brush still usable. The motor works for now...
Did a little searching, didn't find anything.
My Turismo wipers quit working, first the low speed, then the high speed. Troubleshooting verified motor was not working. I took the motor assembly...
Bummer!
Mine has become the daily driver I wanted it to be. 86'd the emissions as recommended by you, and got the weber working very well. Deleted the cat and air pump. Sounds pretty awesome now....
Right-o, thanks for the input!
So how do I rectify that.... *boooo! booooo! hissssssss!*
Can I do work to these alternators, or just change it?
So how is the Turismo holding up?
The little cap only removes whine from the + side of the coil. It is really just a filter. If I remove the cap, I hear the typical ignition whine on AM radio, and it goes away when I put it back on....
I have a 1985 Plymouth Turismo 2.2 HO. Carb high compression 2.2 car.
When I start the car cold, it will rev to redline without problem for the first 5 secondsish. After this point, I start...
I think the crabs look better with the lines of the car. Nice job with the restore though!
Time to charge up my dremel... :P
Makes sense now!
I just need to figure out how to get the throttle arm off the 6520... Seems like they went out of their way to make it difficult. Any suggestions?
Okay, so how do I get a vacuum operated secondary throttle arm, onto a progressive carb?

Amazingly, NAPA had 3 of the gaskets at there warehouse, so I got 2 of them.
Cool beans, I've got some of that. :D
Maybe it will stop raining and I'll go out and get more done tonight!
What are the gaskets normally made of? I'm more than willing to make my own (I have done this more than once). High temp paper type? Cork? Rubber synthetic? Copper?
Shipping will cost 3 times as...
Oh, and about a 1/4 mile down the road a guy has what looks to be another Turismo parked in his backyard... Maybe I can get it cheap. :D
Okay, until I can get in and remove the air pump, is leaving the vac line off of it the correct way? At this point, is there any reason to use any of the vacuum ported switches (maybe to use base...
I got me new Weber, time to install it soon (maybe tomorrow night I'll start on it)
Anything I should know?
Wearing out? My experience shows an auto wearing out long before any manual. Then again, I'm used to trucks and towing, but I doubt I'll ever buy another auto as long as I have the option not to.
Can't wait to see it!
I'm budgeting a new Weber carb for my Turismo next month. I figure I'll be driving it regularly by June.
Do it with megasquirt! :D
God I love listening to Hysteria in the Turismo!
But it wasn't the Backstreet Boys, it was the New Kids on the Block!

The 327 is the happy spot for the GM small block. First, GM still built decent engines in the 60's. Second, the engine could turn higher RPM's than the larger small blocks, made more power than the...
Yup.
Actually Hot Rod still does the engine shootout every year in their "Engine Masters" offshoot.
MY BAD, Popular Hotrodding has it: http://www.popularhotrodding.com/enginemasters/index.html...
