  1. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Good thing the Tcase doesnt explode from too many drivability problems or it probably already would have blown. :p

Too much power seems optimistic at this early stage.
  2. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

That picture is so bad it's like you're ashamed of the car already.. hah.

Still doing anything 12v 3.0 related? If not i will buy your cams. :p
  3. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

So you are not parting the motor itself out?
  4. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

boooooo. I was going to throw money at you but.. :p
  5. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Yeah, gauge installs are honestly kind of irritating and if you just slap em in there without a lot of effort it tends to be kinda irreversible as far as all the holes you just put in everything. :(...
  6. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I bought most of my cars for less than what a new tablet costs. :p But it's still cool.
  7. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

So is that idle quality AFTER trying to make it idle better with MS?
  8. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

My 3000gt currently weighs more than my van, but that'll change once i put the full interior back into the van.

The van will be roots-blown so it would probably run fine lugging at low rpms with...
  9. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Sweet! Maybe a bit too much cam for my van.. my 3000gt might like them. Good stuff either way.
  10. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Yeah im gonna 2nd Brent's last statement..

    Congrats on the dyno.
  11. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I think myself, shayne, homeboysduster, and paduster to some extent are all willing to let things go and let this thread get back on track. The only thing that needs to happen for this streak of...
  12. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I try not to talk about my 3.0 projects since im not working on them. :p
  13. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

im interested in this sohc tt stealth. Not sure why someone would get that plate if it wasnt true, seems like a lot of effort.
  14. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I dont think force fed was making a joke.. you dont have to drop the tank to do a fuel pump. I think that's what he was getting at.
  15. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

That compressor side is t04e 46 trim. The turbine side is within 1mm of t3 stg3 but is not exact so im not sure if it's really a t3 turbine. Probably a chinese copy, close but not exact.
  16. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

IMO the biggest thing about the water pump is making sure the area in the back where the coolant pipe goes in doesnt have any junk in there that will cause the big o-ring to not seat/seal. The part...
  17. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

    Ed's car dyno'd on 8psi on a stock pump.

The way to know for sure is to turbo it, hook a fuel pressure gauge where you can see it while driving, and see if it ever drops from the maximum it...
  18. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Sounds like the difference between an NTC and a PTC thermistor.. i.e. wrong kind of sensor. Were they the same part number?
  19. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

2" at wot it not ideal but not abnormal.. I was going off your earlier post where you said "4 to 6 :(:(:(". Whether it was 4-6"hg or 4-6psi it would still have been a problem.
  20. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

2" hg is about 1psi, just as a rule of thumb.

I still think it's a problem. Ive NEVER seen a car that still had 4-6" of vacuum at WOT, and MOST of the vehicles ive ever measured had completely...
  21. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

If that gauge is right you SHOULD be worried about that vacuum number. Turbo-patch-job isnt going to address the issue.
  22. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Brent's stability problems were not something most people would ever see. Remember that with an OBX or other torque-biasing differential if one side loses traction the other side is going to get...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wastegate

"A dual port wastegate adds a second port on the opposite side of the actuator. Air pressure allowed to enter this second port aids the spring to push harder...
  24. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

t70 compressor side is pretty darn big (but not too big, i think its good). It doesnt say what stage the exhaust wheel is but the pic there makes it look pretty big, maybe stg3? I think it will work...
