  2. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I ended up putting some extra o-rings around the bottom of my GM pencil injectors to prevent them from going too far into the lower intake. Worked well with no leaks and the rail held the injectors...
  3. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

If you just cut the old hoses off with a pipe cutter you could slide fuel injection hose on BUT be sure to expand the end of the steel line with something like a flare tool to prevent the hose of...
  4. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I might look into that. I need to do some fine tuning. I just quickly overclocked it when I setup this pc in march. It's in a htpc case and attached to my tv for gaming.
  5. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I'm running 2400mhz... nb and ht I think. I'm using my laptop right now so I can't check.
  6. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Only things I've changed are the Vcore, multiplier and bus speed. I'm not sure what the HT multiplier is set at but I must have lowered it when I raised the bus speed. I'm running 250 bus speed...
  7. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I have a 6850 as well in my PC and a phenom2 x4 955 at 4ghz and I have been able to play any new game on high so far.

  9. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I set up everything with the trans sitting in neutral then position the shifter where I wanted it in neutral, verified I has sufficient travel in each direction and welded. I did this because it was...
  10. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I didn't put any pins in but... I did weld the drivers side cable bracket in a custom spot to fit a neon cable instead of a K car cable - works awesome. I'll post a couple pictures in a couple...
  11. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

What neon cable do you have installed now? The selector? In my experience the neon crossover cable is usually way too short.

There is only some adjustment for the crossover cable not the...
  12. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I'm not sure on the differences between neon shifter cables over the years but I have 2001 Neon cables in my Spirit. I modded the cable bracket on the trans slightly to make it work. I actually...
  13. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Don't make the ports too smooth or that will hurt flow kind of the way a golf ball flys further beause of the simples on the outside of it.
  14. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

    Looking good.
  15. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I use box.net to upload Ms files.
  16. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

If going with the crank sensor for wasted spark, you may need to to make some minor mods to the tach input ciruit on the MS. You can choose to use a hall-effect or make a different wiring change...
  17. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

More dwell may help but it's hard to tell how much dwell is just enough without a scope. Once the coil becomes saturated and addition dwell will just be turned into heat by the current limiting in...
  18. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I just thought I'd throw the idea out there since it's not too difficult to do if you have some time and junk yard nearby. Two BIP373 coil driver kits would be required from diyautotune as well.
  19. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

I think it's time to go wasted spark! Make a toothed wheel on your crank like I did and then you can run some cheap wasted spark coils from the junk yard to begin with. Cheap and easy!! You...
  20. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

At TDC on cyl 1 you want the rotor to be just about to leave the terminal in the cap for cyl 1.
  21. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Go for it! I'd get the BPR8ES-11 though.
  22. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

According to the NGK website the stock 3.0 plug is: BPR5ES-11
The turbo 3000GT uses a BKR6ES-11 so basically one step colder then the 12V 3.0.

The 3SI guys seem to recommend something two steps...
  23. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

    Are your valve covers leaking?
  24. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

Interesting. Good to know. I'm guessing the 80% number is just a safety factory then in case you need more fuel then 100% can give.
  25. Re: Sundance 6g72 "3.0 turbo build thread"(N/A DYNO SHEET pics inside)

The duty cycle of the injectors is the duty cycle and has nothing to do with injector size settings in MS. I was trying to say above that the injector size you enter in MS is only used to estimate...
