    Re: AC How To?

A/C lines are still available. I bought some just a few years ago, then another set more recently.

    Which year van?
Send an engine bay pic, and one of the compressor showing the lines.

Re: Video: TeamSDAC at DragWeek 2019

    Good read Mike!
Thanks for sharing that, and for your work on stitching the video recap together!
It makes me miss dragweek reliving it through your recap!
    I do wish I had organized a write-up...

I don't think he was the only one who did some.

But he might have the best data on how well it worked after.

Wait, what?! I didn't even know there were any!
    That's cool!
Guess they never made any with the correct 2.4 bellhousing pattern?

All is not lost, there was someone who modded a 1 piece to basically remove the runners and then add a plenum. It looked like alot of work, but would like to know how it worked at the track.

    Re: Cooling issues

I was going to get the 192, but I stuck with the 180. I'm in NC, and weather is already getting nicer. I don't think I'll put the modified stat back in unless something changes in the summer to...

Oh I thought the hemi build was another project.

Still will be cool, and may be a bit easier to get 280hp out of it.

    Re: FTDI adapter help

Double check the FTDI setup instructions here.

    Re: FTDI adapter help

I think you need to check the device manager details for the FTDI cable and load VCP drivers.
    If I'm not mistaken.

But glad it appears to be working!

Oh, and what device is in com1?
I notice sometimes I get a default like that when I leave my Bluetooth dongle in a USB port.

    Re: FTDI adapter help

If I recall correctly, to read a stock SMEC cal off an unmodified ECU, you need 21V applied to the pin #11 on the 60 way. If it is modified to be flashable, using a BoostButton flash module, then...

It's the mpt2coms file we need to see, which may help troubleshoot.

Finally got to change my thermostat today. Installed the (edit) Stant Superstat 45788.

    Re: FTDI adapter help

Ok, I don't see where some of this is mentioned,
    What version:
    Windows?
    MPScan?

    What ECU do you have?
Is is stock or BoostButton flashable, or socketed, or ostrich?

Well that should rule out a diagnostic connector problem.

If you have a log profile setup in MPScan, can you post up the ecu.txt file? There should be a txt file made with some troubleshooting...

Do you have a DRBII? I wonder if there is some issue with your diagnostic connector?

Need to re-read all of this and see if I can think of anything.

    Re: FTDI adapter help

The only other thing I can think of at the moment is be sure you are using a USB cable that can handle data. Some micro USB are just charging.
    Although most do handle data.

On the SCI board, Ground was on the end of the connector.
A better pic directly over your FTDI adapter might help.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200212/deda11bd575c05af5f9019cc9645731c.jpg
