Yes that was my original thought about the baffles being flawed. I read somewhere that the valve cover baffles didn't drain properly on certain year model. I can't remember where though. It has been...

Its doing better with the new pcv line; but it smoked a little again today when I backed into the driveway. I tried to use 5w-30 in it when I first got the van and it used it incredibly fast. Of...
I've been using 15w 40 and 20w 50 for awhile. It reduced oil usage. I changed the pcv line, so far no smoke. I going to change the gaskets this week. I'll get to check out the sludge situation then.
Thanks guys I'll change the gaskets, oil, and pcv lines this weekend after payday. ;)
Its raining right now I'll try to get a pic. soon. I'm sure its all original as my mother bought it new. No major repairs were ever done till now.
Yeah its really strange how it seems to happen when shifted into reverse. Thanks for the tip about the baffles. I was thinking of trying that. By the way, do the valve covers lift right off? It looks...
Mine does not have that type of linkage. It has a rod with a clamp bolt. It slides back and forth pretty much any where you want to put it. I've been using a small 6 in. scale to measure before and...
Hello:
I am running a 3.0 a670 in 92 Voyager 167,000 mi. It is stock n/a for now. It has a wierd smoking problem. It is fine most of the time. It smokes when I put it into reverse to back...
Hey I finally got it going. It was leakage in the clutch. The seal was cut again. I found that I mis-assembled the clutch. It shifts very nice with the Trans-go kit. The line pressure is...

What I found http://web.archive.org/web/20040101123443/www.omniturbo.com/mopar+pages/tranny+upgrades+detail.htm alot of great info. I finally printed it because it took so long to link to the...
You've got a great idea there. I finally found the archive of the A413 mods a while back after reading post after post. You guys have a better understanding of how to make them work than anywhere...
I hope the other guys can give a little guidance on the amount of air leakage. Its kind of hard for them to listen to it over the internet though. ;) I am definately going to try the valve body...
Yes I used Trans Gel. The seals slid in very easy. I did not force them. I did have a problem on the first try as I mentioned in original post. I don't know by experience just how much leakage is...
Unfortunately I got home to late to do any work on valve body today. I appreciate all the help. This looked like it was going to be a relatively easy fix when I started. I seem to get lucky that way...
I'm using the line pressure forward clutch port as shown in the atsg manual. I didn't get to work on it today. The valve body I just recieved looks pretty decent on a quick look over. I will check it...
Hello:
I just spent my entire weekend replacing the head gaskets on my only remaining vehicle. I didn't have time to get back and check on my post. Drained 3 Gal. of goo out of the...
Hello all:
I am about to loose what little sanity I have left. I put a full rebuild kit in my a670 3.0L 3spd trans. It really was in nice shape inside. The forward rear clutch was the...
