Re: Knock volts versus degrees of retard

    [/QUOTE]

Well, that's an interesting tidbit. Currently I'm using my original knock sensor in my 2.4L. I wonder if that frequency is even correct for the 2.4L!

How the hell have I spent so...

    Re: MBC vs EBC

Nobody got it to work? I thought Rob Lloyd was using ECU-controlled boost all along?

When I stepped up to an FM Enforcer turbo, the car doesn't have nearly as much of the part-throttle fluttering...

Re: Clutch pedal goes to floor

That's a good idea. The loop on the clip makes it look like it was designed for that, heh.

    Re: MBC vs EBC

I've been wanting to get away from my Perrin MBC, but I'm flat-out stupid when it comes to modifying in MPTune to make the factory boost control work.

How's the overshoot versus factory boost...
  5. Re: 05 turbo PT wiering/computer swap into 87 Daytona?

That car has a T850 in it. I expect that I'll be seeing that car in just a few days. Although the current owner didn't actually do the swap, he could probably answer plenty of questions about it.

    Carlisle Chrysler Nationals

Anybody else going? This will be my 14th year in a row, and the 11th year for the mighty bastard child 2.4L SRTona.
This show has easily supplanted every other thing I used to look forward to in...

You mean you mounted it right into the intake manifold flange?

Re: 2.4L SMEC base cal questions and mods

I am running the ski ramp pistons. I'm essentially running a "stock" SRT-4 shortblock, except for the 1st gen 2.4 block and crank.

I'm surprised to hear that the ski ramp pistons would use less...

Re: 2.4L SMEC base cal questions and mods

I'm running the base 2.4 cal on a mostly-stock long block and it runs beautifully compared to a certain trusted vendor's cal that I wasted my time with before.

I had spark issues as well, but all...

    Re: DRB II LCD Modification

Nice work! I did exactly the same thing with my Snap On MT2500 (non-graphing) years ago and never regretted it. With the clearances in the case, I had to hand-solder 20 conductors, but it was so...
  11. Wheels/Tires Re: 15" Pumpers from 1991 Shadow ES - any market left for these??

Enjoy man! Humorous anecdote: I paid $100 for the car that original wore those wheels back in 2001. I slapped a set of 14" steelies in their place and sold the car for $250, haha.

    Re: Windows 10

Still running Windows 7 and Linux Mint Debian Edition 3 on the "evil twin" laptops at home. Both absolutely rock solid. Sucks that there's only a year left of security updates for Windows 7.

  13. Wheels/Tires Re: 15" Pumpers from 1991 Shadow ES - any market left for these??

Yeah, I foolishly didn't even think of shipping. It's going to cost me $60 to get the tires swapped over to different wheels so I can sell the car. Add another $100+ for shipping, and I'd have to...

TIII Re: I want a world beater Spirit R/T

Yep, still a lot of SRT-4 go-fast parts available. The junkyards are still chock full of 2.4's too, at least they are in my area.

Wastelands, if you want to talk 2.4's see if you can get in touch...
  17. Re: Anti-rattle clips still available anywhere?

...and welding (still after this many years) isn't possible for me. I'll give them a shot.
  18. Re: Anti-rattle clips still available anywhere?

So the rears aren't like the fronts where there's a spring taking up slack? They're just shims?
  19. Anti-rattle clips still available anywhere?

89 Daytona, solid rear discs. Finally I've had enough of listening to these rear calipers rattling any time the road isn't glass-smooth. I've got the clips in the front and they're fine, but does...

    Re: Speedometer issues

I did mine a few years ago and used the 8V supply to power it. That's what the factory used, so that's what I used. It's been flawless since.

Re: TU 6 puck ceramic disk noise

Where did you find your build sheet?

Just wondering what the common places are to find the prized original build sheets.
  23. Re: TU Clutch Feedback and Big Thanks to Chris!

Depends. With a ceramic puck disc, it's GREAT, better than sprung in that particular case in my opinion. I can't tell if it's because it's not continuous-face or if it's due to the material itself,...
  24. Re: TU Clutch Feedback and Big Thanks to Chris!

Sort of lost here myself. I thought the hybrid clutch was a way to address small spline applications. What's the advantage otherwise??
  25. Re: TU Clutch Feedback and Big Thanks to Chris!

30,000+ "extra spirited" street miles on mine. I have a yellow plate, 6 puck, solid hub. Very streetable in my heavy car. These clutches are the best!
