    Re: Cam cap studs

Generally, once aluminum threads are repaired properly with an insert the threads are stronger than before. I don't see why you couldn't replace the bolts with studs.

    Engine WTB TIII cams

I'm looking for a pair of cams that are more aggressive than the old Lonewolf stage 1 cams. Lmk what you have with the specs if at all possible.

I struggled with overheating for years as well. Getting everything around the radiator blocked off to stop air going around the radiator & forcing it through helped a bunch. What pushed the cooling...

    Re: 1989 CSX rough idle

I would go over the vacuum lines, looking for cracked hoses, loose connections. Spraying brake cleaner on the hoses while it's running can help find a vacuum leak. Perhaps take the vacuum line off...

12 years later the aluminum one I made in that thread referenced by c2xejk is still working just fine, no issues at all.

    Re: Chinese Turbos

That combo turbo but Stg3 turbine wheel was a hoot to drive around town in my R/T. I could feel the top end power plateau, definitely a trade-off between top & low-end power.

Congratulations! That's quite the accomplishment for the team. Tough enough getting things going in those temp, let alone putting out a strong race performance. Great picture as well!

Re: Flash rust on cylinder walls

I'm not a fan of using anything abrasive in the cylinders without disassembly. If it's just enough to discolor the walls, see how much you can wipe/scrub off with a towel and a little oil in it.
